The interval comes from your data
We look at repeat purchases per product and work out the real gap between orders — 34 days for one thing, 90 for another. No blanket rule, and no guessing at what customers 'probably' do.
Done for you · Shopify and WooCommerce
Your customers meant to buy again. Then the bottle ran out on a Tuesday, they were busy, and they bought something else. We put the reminder in front of them the day before that happens.
Register interestAbandoned checkout recovery is standard now — Shopify sends something by default and every app does a version of it. Reorder timing is not. It needs somebody to read your order history properly, per product, and most stores never get round to it.
That is a shame, because it is the easiest revenue in the building. These are people who already bought from you, already liked it enough to finish the jar, and have given you permission to write to them. All they need is the reminder arriving before they solve the problem somewhere else.
The gap
None of this is a software problem. The tools have existed for years. The problem is that running them properly is somebody's full-time job.
The service
We look at repeat purchases per product and work out the real gap between orders — 34 days for one thing, 90 for another. No blanket rule, and no guessing at what customers 'probably' do.
The reminder goes out a few days before the expected run-out, when it reads as useful rather than pushy. Customers who bought two of something get a later date, not the same one.
AI drafts each message around what they actually bought and when, so a coffee reminder does not read like a skincare reminder. We check the templates before they go anywhere.
Email where there is detail to carry, SMS or WhatsApp where it needs to be seen today. One sequence across all three, and one opt-out that stops the lot.
Someone who reorders the same thing three times is telling you something. The sequence offers the subscription at that point rather than at checkout, when they have no reason to trust the interval yet.
Reorders attributed monthly, traceable in your store's own reporting rather than only in a dashboard we control.
How it works
Step 01
We look at your checkout, your order history and the marketing consent you already hold, then tell you what we think it is worth — including if the honest answer is not much yet.
Step 02
We connect your store and your sending accounts, build the flows, set up opt-out handling and test everything on our own phones and inboxes before a single customer sees it.
Step 03
The flows go live and stay monitored. We adjust timing, wording, channel mix and sequencing as the numbers come in. Nothing lands on your team.
Step 04
A report every month: what was recovered, what was reordered, what we changed and what we are trying next. Cancel on 30 days' notice at any point.
What you get
No setup fee, no change fees. We quote once we have seen your store and your order history, because the work depends on what is already there.
We take on a small number of stores at a time so that each one gets looked at properly.
FAQ
Then this is the wrong service for you and we will say so. It works where something gets used up or worn out — supplements, coffee, skincare, pet food, consumables. For a one-off purchase like furniture, the win-back and post-purchase work is a better fit.
A subscription asks for commitment up front, which is why most customers decline it. A reorder reminder asks nothing — it turns up when they need the thing. Customers who reorder on their own several times are the ones worth offering a subscription to, and that is when we do it.
No. Openable is a service, not software. We build the flows inside your own store and your own sending accounts, write the messages and run them for you. There is nothing for your team to install or learn, and nothing stops working if you leave.
Shopify and WooCommerce. Those two cover most of what we are asked for, and both give us the order history the timing depends on. If you are on something else, ask — the answer is sometimes yes, and we will say so quickly if it is no.
Email, SMS and WhatsApp, usually in combination. Email carries the detail and costs almost nothing to send; SMS and WhatsApp get read in minutes and are better for time-sensitive nudges. WhatsApp needs Meta business verification and approved templates before it can go live, which we handle, but it adds a week or two at the start.
No. 30 days' notice, and the flows are built in accounts you own, so they stay with you when you leave.
Send us your store and a few details. We will look at what you have, then come back with what we think we can do, what it would cost, and how soon we could start — or with an honest no.
