Most age gates break under full-page caching, show to everyone including search engines, or fire on every page of the site. This one is built the way the cookie banner was: cache-safe, remembered, and limited to the pages that actually need it.

What it would do
The gate is decided in the browser against a cached page, with the same exclusions we already ship for WP Rocket, WP Fastest Cache, LiteSpeed, Autoptimize and Cloudflare Rocket Loader. No cached page gets served with somebody else's answer baked in.
Whole site, specific pages, or individual WooCommerce products and categories — so the spirits section is gated and the blog is not.
Pick the strictness: a yes/no confirmation, or a full date of birth checked against an age you set per product type.
The answer is stored locally for a period you choose, with no cookie banner conflict — it is a strictly necessary preference, and our own consent plugin already knows that.
Your logo, your wording, your colours, and a Shadow DOM so your theme cannot break the gate and the gate cannot break your theme.
This is an age gate: it asks, records the answer and blocks access. It does not check documents or run identity checks, and where the law requires real age assurance you will need a specialist provider as well. We will say so on the page rather than after you buy.
An age gate is a reasonable-steps measure, not proof of age. If you sell something where the rules demand verified age assurance, this plugin is one part of that and not the whole of it.
