Timed to the delivery, not the order
The sequence follows tracking events, so the check-in arrives after the parcel does and the review request arrives once they have had time to use the thing.
Done for you · Shopify and WooCommerce
Most review requests arrive three days after the order, which is usually before the parcel. We time the whole post-purchase sequence to what actually happened to the delivery.
Register interestThe window after an order arrives is the one moment a customer is guaranteed to be thinking about you. Most stores spend it sending a review request too early, or nothing at all.
Done properly, this stretch does three jobs: it stops the 'where is my order' email before it gets written, it collects a review while the thing is still exciting, and it hands the customer into the reorder cycle without a hard sell.
The gap
None of this is a software problem. The tools have existed for years. The problem is that running them properly is somebody's full-time job.
The service
The sequence follows tracking events, so the check-in arrives after the parcel does and the review request arrives once they have had time to use the thing.
A dispatch note with the real tracking, a delivery confirmation, and what to do if something is wrong. Most 'where is my order' contacts never happen if this is done well.
Asked at the right moment, for the right product, in a message that sounds like a person. We steer the ones with a problem toward support rather than toward a one-star review.
Requests that invite a photo as well as a rating, so the content ends up on your product pages and in your ads rather than only on a review widget.
The last message in this sequence sets up the first message in the refill one, so a customer never gets both on the same day or hears the same line twice.
Order updates are service messages; review requests and marketing are not. We keep the two separated properly rather than hiding marketing inside a dispatch note.
How it works
Step 01
We look at your checkout, your order history and the marketing consent you already hold, then tell you what we think it is worth — including if the honest answer is not much yet.
Step 02
We connect your store and your sending accounts, build the flows, set up opt-out handling and test everything on our own phones and inboxes before a single customer sees it.
Step 03
The flows go live and stay monitored. We adjust timing, wording, channel mix and sequencing as the numbers come in. Nothing lands on your team.
Step 04
A report every month: what was recovered, what was reordered, what we changed and what we are trying next. Cancel on 30 days' notice at any point.
What you get
No setup fee, no change fees. We quote once we have seen your store and your current post-purchase flow.
We take on a small number of stores at a time so that each one gets looked at properly.
FAQ
Usually. If you are on a platform with an API — most of the common ones are — we drive the requests through it so the reviews land where your product pages already read them. If you are not on one yet, we will tell you what we would pick and why.
No, and we would not offer to. Steering someone with a genuine problem toward support before they write a review is fair and helps them; suppressing honest negative reviews is not, and on several platforms it breaks their rules.
No. Openable is a service, not software. We build the flows inside your own store and your own sending accounts, write the messages and run them for you. There is nothing for your team to install or learn, and nothing stops working if you leave.
Shopify and WooCommerce. Those two cover most of what we are asked for, and both give us the order history the timing depends on. If you are on something else, ask — the answer is sometimes yes, and we will say so quickly if it is no.
Email, SMS and WhatsApp, usually in combination. Email carries the detail and costs almost nothing to send; SMS and WhatsApp get read in minutes and are better for time-sensitive nudges. WhatsApp needs Meta business verification and approved templates before it can go live, which we handle, but it adds a week or two at the start.
No. 30 days' notice, and the flows are built in accounts you own, so they stay with you when you leave.
Send us your store and a few details. We will look at what you have, then come back with what we think we can do, what it would cost, and how soon we could start — or with an honest no.
